I've been doing counted cross-stitch since I was about twelve. Admittedly, I have only been doing it on a super-consistent basis for the last three years (otherwise you'd see a LOT more in here!) but I have loved it ever since I was young. Here is my collection of projects. I'm very proud of them. :-)

laurajohnson > "Paul's Stocking" -- I plan to cross-stitch all my kids' stockings, when I have kids, and Paul and I want stockings that will match. This was what Paul chose for his stocking. I'll make one for me probably next year. Right under his name, we added "Daddy." :-)

laurajohnson > "Sundancer" -- I'd never done a carousel horse before, and this one just seemed to pretty to me. This was my first project of 2007 (by the way, there is NO WAY I'm going to be finishing ten this year. I'll try for it again in 2008.)

laurajohnson > "Oriental Splendor" -- Yet another of that fabulous Gold Collection. This was a STUNNING piece! But it was also a PAIN! Seriously, the most complex design I have yet done, including all the ones I have with beading on them. It took me forever to finish, and I spent months not even being able to look at it, I was so frustrated. But in the end, it turned out FABULOUS, and I'm incredibly proud. :-)

laurajohnson > "Carousel Horse" -- I did this one for my best friend's birthday.

laurajohnson > "Celestial Frame" -- This will become a picture frame at some point, when I have the time to mount it onto one and everything. But I loved the way it turned out.

laurajohnson > "Keep Thy Child Birth Sampler" -- This one was actually made for my brother-in-law and his wife, who just had a little boy.

laurajohnson > "Mickey and Minnie" -- I made this for my best friend and her husband while I was at Disneyland this year -- to keep them always in my thoughts since Disneyland is kind of our special place and they couldn't be there this time around.

laurajohnson > "Sweet Dreams" -- I'm usually not a "cutesy" kind of person when it comes to my cross-stitch, but this one I just couldn't resist, it was so funny!
