CrossStitch > laurajohnson  > Hobbies > Cross-Stitch
I've been doing counted cross-stitch since I was about twelve. Admittedly, I have only been doing it on a super-consistent basis for the last three years (otherwise you'd see a LOT more in here!) but I have loved it ever since I was young. Here is my collection of projects. I'm very proud of them. :-)

laurajohnson > "Heart Wreath" -- This was among the very first counted cross-stitch pieces I ever did.
laurajohnson > "Victorian Garden" -- I started with a couple of small, simple ones, but I very VERY quickly moved on to bigger, more complex pieces. This was one I stitched for my mother. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY!
laurajohnson > "Christmas Angel" -- One of the Gold Collection pieces. I love their stuff, the colors they use are always SO super rich and gorgeous!
laurajohnson > "Spring Queen" -- I discovered Nora Corbett/Mirabilia Designs several years ago, and she is one of my absolute favorites! Her work is exquisite. I have almost forty of her designs waiting to be stitched, and at least twenty more that I'm saving up to buy. :-) This was my first of hers, it's one in a set of four --- one for each of the four seasons. This is Spring.
laurajohnson > "Holiday Wreath" -- Another Gold Collection. I was in the middle of stitching this one when I met my husband, and he has encouraged me in this little hobby ever since.
laurajohnson > "Baby Wolves" --- I actually received this book called "Endangered Young-Uns" for Christmas the year I started stitching. It took me a while to finally get around to doing any of them, but this was the first one I tried.
laurajohnson > "Polar Bears" -- The baby wolves only took me a week to do, so I thought I'd try another one.
laurajohnson > "Two Geishas" -- Yet another Gold Collection. I love Japanese culture, so this one really suited me.
laurajohnson > "Arise" -- It's a very different kind of piece for me, I don't usually go for this particular artistic style...but it just kind of leaped out at me, and I enjoyed doing it. It's kind of a piece of my Native American heritage.
"Victorian Garden" -- I started with a couple of small, simple ones, but I very VERY quickly moved on to bigger, more complex pieces. This was one I stitched for my mother. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY!
