CrossStitch > laurajohnson  > Hobbies > Cross-Stitch
I've been doing counted cross-stitch since I was about twelve. Admittedly, I have only been doing it on a super-consistent basis for the last three years (otherwise you'd see a LOT more in here!) but I have loved it ever since I was young. Here is my collection of projects. I'm very proud of them. :-)

laurajohnson > "Southwest Pottery" -- Another piece that had beautiful colors. I'm always attracted to rich colors, and this one actually does have beautiful shades of red and brown. It was a simple piece, but I loved how it turned out!
laurajohnson > "The Kiss" -- Okay, I do apologize for the quality of this shot. I know the picture is crooked, and the flash against the glass annoys the heck out of me. But I LOOOVE this piece! It was my second Mirabilia, chosen by my husband as my next project after the pottery. It was actually framed for me by a woman who ran a local shop. She offered to have it framed and then she hung it in her shop for three months. I was really honored! Someone actually offered to pay me $400 for it, but I just can't sell me work.
laurajohnson > "Baisri" -- Another company I like is Pinn-Stitch. Their stuff is really cute, but it's not so cutesy-cute that it makes me want to vomit. ;-) Their stuff is very elegant and lovely. This was my first from them.
laurajohnson > "Enchanted Alphabet" -- Another of my favorite designers, Lavender and Lace. I discovered them about the same time I discovered MIrabilia. I have about twenty of her designs, but this is currently the only one I have stitched.
laurajohnson > "Harp Seals" -- After so many larger projects, I needed a bit of a break and so I went back to my endangered young-uns and stitched the Harp Seals. Aren't they cute?!
laurajohnson > "Pandas" -- This was my last endangered young-uns, I don't think I'm going to do any more. This was the last of my "fave four" to be stitched. The others are cute, but I only wanted to do the ones I really truly LOVED, and this was the last of them. They're darling though, aren't they?
laurajohnson > "Families Are Forever" -- This was one I stitched for my mother-in-law, for her 25th wedding anniversary. She recently had it framed, and I wish I had gotten a shot of that! The framing looked really awesome.
laurajohnson > "Japanese Beauty" -- yet another Gold Collection. This one is TECHNICALLY slightly incomplete, but that's because it deals with a kind of stitching that I'm terrible at. Besides, I think it looks just fine the way it is, it ended up even more beautiful than I imagined.
laurajohnson > "Noel" -- found this in an old book of Christmas cross-stitch patterns that I unearthed at a used bookstore. Only took me about a week to do, but it turned out really nicely.
"Baisri" -- Another company I like is Pinn-Stitch. Their stuff is really cute, but it's not so cutesy-cute that it makes me want to vomit. ;-) Their stuff is very elegant and lovely. This was my first from them.
